Our Story

AdventureRuck was born from a passion for the transformative power of rucking. What started as a personal journey has evolved into a mission to build the most comprehensive resource for the rucking community.

My name is Steve, and I discovered rucking through friends who introduced me to the sport years ago. After experiencing the unique physical and mental challenges that rucking provided, I was hooked. What began as a way to improve my fitness became a passion that I wanted to share with others seeking effective, functional training methods.

In creating AdventureRuck, I sought to build the resource I wished I had when I first explored rucking – a place that combines practical knowledge, community connection, and expert insights into this uniquely beneficial activity.

Our Approach

At AdventureRuck, we believe that:

  • Accessible Excellence – Rucking should be approachable for beginners while offering progressive challenges for veterans
  • Evidence-Based Information – Our recommendations come from research, expert consultation, and extensive personal testing
  • Community Integration – The rucking journey is better when shared with others who understand its challenges and rewards
  • Practical Application – Training should translate to real-world capability, whether for fitness, recreation, or preparation
  • Continuous Learning – The science of performance and recovery evolves, and so does our approach to rucking

Credentials & Experience

With over 15 years of rucking experience spanning competitions, group events, and recreational adventures, I’ve accumulated thousands of miles under load across diverse terrains and conditions.

Additionally, AdventureRuck collaborates with physical therapists, outdoor athletes, and gear specialists to ensure our content represents diverse perspectives and the latest in evidence-based approaches.

Join Our Community

AdventureRuck isn’t just a website—it’s a growing community of individuals who recognize the value of putting in the work, embracing discomfort, and discovering what they’re capable of carrying—both literally and metaphorically.

We invite you to connect with us through our social channels, community forums, and local events. Your experiences and insights enrich our collective knowledge and inspire others to discover the benefits of rucking.
